What freakin' language are you speaking?KT Goodlove is the collaborative collage series that Kettle and I make for Art-o-mat. Kettle paints on the block and then I add my paper bits. This is #196.
On some of the blocks I make a reverse mask of Kettle's image and add in things to the backgrounds. For this collage I used a piece of butcher/deli paper that I colored with alcohol inks and watercolors because I wanted to see if I could get a bush and sky feel without adding an actual bush or sky. I like it.
I also like how I can't decide if it is the dog man or the snake/worm guy asking the question. (I always think of these characters that come out of the holes as snakes...but I suppose they might be worms.)
Now what?KT Goodlove is the collaborative collage series that Kettle and I make for Art-o-mat. Kettle paints on the block and then I add my paper bits. This is #181.
I'm fond of himI enjoy it when you can't tell who is speaking in the collage. Just a couple of buddies out for a nice slither.KT Goodlove is the collaborative collage series that Kettle and I make for Art-o-mat. Kettle paints on the block and then I add my paper bits. This is #174.
I will slip unnoticed through the darkness like a dark unnoticeable slippy thing.I know this one looks particularly plain, but it was not a quickly assembled piece. I am very happy with it. For me, everything is working together -- the characters are interacting, the quote is good and fits (and took a long time to decide on), it is hard to tell which character is saying the line, the colors pop. I even had to piece together the 161 because I couldn't find one anywhere...and I really like the two-toneness of it.KT Goodlove is the collaborative collage series that Kettle and I make for Art-o-mat. This is number 161 in the series.
The quote is from 2005's MirrorMask by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean.
Are you trying to get me fired? This is #154 in the collaborative mixed media collage series called "KT Goodlove" that Kettle and I make for Art-o-mat. Kettle does the painting, I do the paper parts.
"all questions must be submitted in writing"
This is block #143 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.
I didn't want to put any words on this block so that the viewer could imagine what song the dog guy is playing.

"nooooo...but mostly yes"Those two dogs just cracked me up, so they had to be in a collage together. For anyone counting along with me,

"I'm a doctor, too."This is block #134 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.
"Wait where you are. Wait a little longer."It is a shame that the scans and the photo don't really show the gold metallic paint in this one. (The star is unpainted.)
Funny, I pretty much never ever plan the way these turn out. The words get put on after the picture is completed. I have a bowlful of phrases that I have already printed out and I just choose one to fit...or pull one out randomly. When I printed this phrase out, it was meant to be mostly amusing or something. But when I added it to this block and looked at it, it choked me up for a second...then I was okay again. But really, it can still be amusing...that's how I meant it.This is block #133 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

"you get the idea"

"I've changed my ways."
As long as I have 50 collages to send in, it really doesn't matter what number they are in this blog...why am I obsessing about this?
