Week Two - IN the machine at Woods Gallery

UPDATE: I will be changing the art in this machine on Thursday, December 9. The new art should be in place by 3 p.m.

I have brought an Art-o-mat machine to the Woods Gallery for the run of the "A Group of Girls" show (November 19 - December 30).

To keep in the theme of "A Group of Girls" I have chosen all women arto-artists with a wide selection of styles and media.

I will change the art in the machine each week. There is an arto-binder near the machine to show you examples of all of the art that will be available at some point during the show. PLEASE follow the instructions on the machine..."shop" the binder BEFORE making your selection...thanks.

In addition, starting with the second week, I will add a "Take a Chance" column of mixed artists...a truly random pull of the knob. This column will feature artpacks from artists that I have in limited quantities.

Click on a picture in these posts to go to the artist's website or Etsy store.

Art-o-mat artpacks make SUPER gifts, you know! What a unique twist for all of your $5 gift exchange needs...handmade, original art!

Tonight -- Opening Reception -- "A Group of Girls"

Tonight is the Opening Reception for this fabulous group show -- I am SO excited to be a part of it!

The "Group of Girls" is: Angel Busque, Renee Dooley, Joan Farago, Sherry Foster, Took Gallagher, Lisa Goedert, Lisa Grix, Terri Light, Mara Magyarosi, Angie Mausolf, Linda Mendelson, Lori O'Connor and Lisa Poszywak.

There is such an energetic and positive vibe running through everyone's work. The art is displayed in such a way that there is a real flow from piece to piece...very dynamic!

In addition, my Art-o-mat machine that is usually located at Detroit Comics in Ferndale will be graciously on loan to the Woods Gallery for the run of the show. To fit the theme of the show I am stocking the machine with all women arto-artists.

There is a binder chock full of information about Art-o-mat for you to look at. I have made pages of EVERY artist that will be available during the run of the show...so if you see something you like and it isn't in the machine at the moment be sure to come back --
I will be changing the art weekly (or sooner as needed). Have I mentioned that Art-o-mat artpacks make great stocking stuffers and unique $5 gifts?

The show runs from November 19 through December 30. The gallery is located in the lower level of the Huntington Woods Library. The library is closed on Fridays (except tonight for the opening, of course). For more information call 248 - 581 - 2696.

New batch of Kettle-y goodness arrived this evening!

Here is the teaser photo for the latest batch of Kettle-y goodness that arrived this evening for our Art-o-mat collaboration series "KT Goodlove".

This will be our 4th set of KT Goodlove blocks...and will start with #151.

A new character or two...a few I'm not sure what they are...this set will be a challenge!

I will most likely get started on my part mid-week next week.

Coolness abounds.
