I couldn't understand my surroundings.Wow. This one was really baffling to me. Again, I didn't have a clue what the images were about and I scanned the "before" view horizontally.I asked several of my friends what they thought the pair of things are and they didn't know. I even wrote to Kettle for some kind of hint/clarification and he also didn't know or remember what they were. He said he remembered painting them, but couldn't tell me what he thought they were...perhaps salt & pepper shakers. He said that whatever I ended up doing with them would be "right".So -- I gave this one a lot of thought and worked with some of the Animal People that I had pre-assembled and this is what I came up with. I think the pair of things are some sort of garden sculptures or monuments.KT Goodlove is the collaborative collage series that Kettle and I make for Art-o-mat. Kettle paints on the block and then I add my paper bits. This is #171.
"it's over there. you can't see it from here."
everything is always so iffy
Isn't it, though?
I really like the way the colors blended in the background on this one.
This is another collage for my Art-o-mat® series called "Animal People".
Good Morning!
I am getting an early start on the blogging today because there is no way I will make it back home in time to make an Art-o-mat® piece and get it posted tonight.
I am leaving an hour early for the Detroit Derby Girls bout today and I have errands to run first and a birthday present to wrap and, and, and...sooooooo much to do!
I am going to try to hold the images from this collage in my head today as I am rushing around...use it for inspiration to just relax and let things happen. Cool.
What is it kids say now? Peace, out.
Okay. I tried scanning one more time...there is no reason why this should be giving me so much trouble.
Whew -- THIS is how this block looks. Geez.
Now I can go to bed.
Ahem... the next "project" is learning how to put the photographs and images and words in my posts where I want them to be.
And, no...the irony of putting the word "pride" in this collage has not escaped me.

WOAH -- This was WAAAAAAY too close!
