KT Goodlove 188

Your clock is six minutes fast.

KT Goodlove is the collaborative collage series that Kettle and I make for Art-o-mat. Kettle paints on the block and then I add my paper bits.
This is #188.

On some of the blocks I make a reverse mask of Kettle's image and add in things to the backgrounds. For this collage I used a piece of butcher/deli paper that I colored with alcohol inks and watercolors because I needed to change the color of the plain painted background in order to get more to look at without additional cut paper elements to overcrowd the piece.

KT Goodlove 165

I can't explain it.

KT Goodlove is the collaborative collage series that Kettle and I make for Art-o-mat. Kettle paints on the block and then I add my paper bits. This is number 165 in the series.

When I set the cat girl on top of the pink paint on this block, her legs sort of disappeared. I added the alcohol ink & water color butcher paper because it was just enough color...in person you can see just a hint more green than the scanner picks up.

KT Goodlove 157

I want you to teach me how to be fabulous.

I think I got that line from the movie "Party Monster". I am not all that fond of the movie or subject matter -- I just really like Seth Green's performance. And okay, Macaulay Culkin was pretty swell, too.

This one has a Pepto Bismol pink background, too...although the camera and scanner won't pick it up.

Day Eighty-Four

Today will be a busy day for a couple of reasons.

#1 -- yep, it is a wonderfully dark and rainy morning...art abounds!

#2 -- this is the Wednesday before a Detroit Derby Girls bout -- and a Travel Team bout at that. (A little more prep to welcome the visiting team and their staff + supporters.) This is also the evening of an Events Committee meeting. So I will go to practice, catch up on stuff with some people, then go to the meeting afterwards. I also begin work on my various lists and start getting things ready for bout day. I probably put more into it than I need to, but I enjoy doing it and it helps to make things run more smoothly for some of the bout jobs. Cool beans!

So...cleaning up after Mr. Pickle guy. And a reminder to listen.

Day Sixty-Two

Let' see. There is a bull man, puzzle pieces and jars of pickles. LOL - I'm stumped.

(wow - the colors in the scan turned out really nice!)

Day Fifty-Five (for real)(and just in time)

It is cracking me up that the color of this cat girl's eyes match the color of the pickle guy.

Block #11 in the Kettle + Took collaboration series "KT Goodlove" for Art-o-mat®.

You can't see it too well in the scan, but the cat girl is licking the tip of her nose..."Mmmm, pickle!"

Day Twenty-Six

Well, I felt really odd covering up part of Kettle's pickle guy, but I will get over it I guess.

I forgot to do a "before" picture of the block. I am going to try to remember to do that for the rest of them...but you can see similar ones in the photo of the contents of the boxful of Kettley goodness (one post down).
