KT Goodlove #100 !!!

"you ask a lot of questions"

Whew! We did it -- Kettle and I have made 100 painting/collage collaboration blocks for
Art-o-mat®.

Now I need to affix the labels to the blocks and put the cellophane around them and ship them off to Artists in Cellophane.

Look for them soon in an Art-o-mat® machine near you!

Request KT Goodlove, even!

(That'd be waaaaay cool!)

UPDATE: KT Goodlove has been added to the artists page at the Art-o-mat
® website. Click on our name and see an example of the series.

KT Goodlove #99

"I'm not the man they think I am"

This is true, he is not the man they think he is...nor is he a rocket man.

KT Goodlove #98

"on the contrary, I WAS listening - I just wasn't paying attention"

Again...this cracks me up because I can't tell who is speaking the words. Oh, and I wonder why this green doesn't mess with the scanner and turn salmon?

This is block #98 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for
Art-o-mat®.

KT Goodlove #97

"I wanna like it, but I just don't."

This is block #97 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

KT Goodlove #96

"hmmm...I feel strangely jumpy."

NEW! Fan Page for Michigan Art-o-mat® machines!

I am very pleased to tell you that the THREE Michigan Art-o-mat® machines have a brand new Facebook fan page.

Bonnie Pfingst (host of the Kalamazoo Art-o-mat® machine) put the page together for us -- THANKS, Bonnie!

Join us -- we are just getting started today, but we will post updates on what's in our machines, events, photos...all kinds of stuff.

KT Goodlove #95

"he was talkin' his foreign talk"

This is block #95 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

Yep...one more of the color-problematic ones. Girl is Pepto Bismol pink and background is chartreusey green in real life. I was totally unaware of this when I was making the collage, but the design on the dog man's shirt is the same color as the background...cool.

KT Goodlove #94

"God only knows where they're going, but being lost is most of the fun."

This is block #94 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

Another one I like a lot. Not that I don't like all of them, but some I like more than others.

KT Goodlove #93

"learning to like his own voice"

This is block #93 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

KT Goodlove #92

This is block #92 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

I really like this one a lot, too.

In case you didn't know, Kettle is from Iowa. I'm from Michigan.

KT Goodlove #91

"How late it is."

Sometimes the monkeys work as girls, too. I usually only use them as men.

This is block #91 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

KT Goodlove #90

"Woah. It was like, woah."

That phrase cracks me up...I don't remember where I got it, but it was from tv.

Another one where the chartreuse green shows up as salmon in the scan, so I had to take a photo of the finished piece.

This is block #90 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

KT Goodlove #89

"Probably."

This is block #89 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

I like this one a lot. No reason, I just do.

KT Goodlove #88

"I'm not the "other" anything. I'm me."

This is block #88 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

This yellow in the background is more of a chartreuse (or maybe canary) than what is showing up here. Slightly less saturated.

KT Goodlove #87

"you can be happy"

This is block #87 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

And again...the pink in the girl's face is Pepto Bismol pink.

Sorry, Kettle...I took out your entire background color in this one.

KT Goodlove #86

"I come and go as I please."

This is block #86 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

It is one of those ones that I like because I can't tell who is saying the words...him or her.

SO excited!

I am SO thrilled to be able to announce that Greeny (my first Art-o-mat® machine) is now located at the most wonderful coffeehouse in Northville, MI -- SOLID GROUNDS.

I have dreamed of moving Greeny in to Solid Grounds...it is one of my fondest wishes come true! Solid Grounds is such a warm and friendly place...there is always something going on. Plus, BIG and exciting changes are taking place and I feel so privileged to be a part of it. Thank You so much, Teresa and Mike! (more pics tomorrow)

And, of course, Buckety is still thriving at Detroit Comics in Ferndale, MI. Buckety fits in so well with the wacky, quirky, FUN atmosphere. Thank You, Brian and Lori!

I hope that you will keep Art-o-mat
® in mind for your last-minute stocking stuffer purchases -- you can find a machine near you by clicking here. ANYthing that can fit into a box or on a block the size of a pack of cigarettes can be found in an Art-o-mat® machine! Ceramics, finger puppets, paintings of all kinds, drawings, glass, jewelry, photography, sculptures, pewter-cast pretzels and crackers, mixed media collages, bar code flip books, tiny ceramic eggplants with random cryptic messages...the list is too extensive to even begin to list 'em all. $5 original art -- what more could you ask for?

KT Goodlove #85

"So you've never learned to polka?"

This is block #85 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for Art-o-mat®.

Okay...this time the scanner isn't picking up on the avocado green -- it turned it pink. But the camera can see it. Technology...I just don't get it.

KT Goodlove #84

"besides, if I was a liar my pants would be on fire -- & they're not"

This is block #84 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for
Art-o-mat®.

KT Goodlove #83

"like the proverbial cheese, I stand alone"

This is block #83 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for
Art-o-mat®.

(again...Pepto Bismol-y pink in real life)

KT Goodlove #82

"My wife has never been to London."

This is block #82 in the Kettle and Took
collaboration series KTGoodlove for
Art-o-mat®.

I like this one a lot...I wish I could keep it. I might have to buy it myself.

Again, the pink is much brighter and more saturated than what shows up here.

KT Goodlove #81

"the all weepy & tragic-like part of the story"

Block #81 in the Kettle and Took collaboration
series KTGoodlove for
Art-o-mat®.

This one has a Pepto Bismol pink background, too...although the camera and scanner won't pick it up.

KT Goodlove #80

"sometimes, peanut butter is the answer"

Block #80 in the Kettle and Took collaboration series KTGoodlove for
Art-o-mat®.

I am not sure why the pink on some of the following KT Goodlove blocks does not show up in its true glory. Neither my camera nor my scanner will pick it up. Let's say it is somewhat close to Pepto Bismol pink.

The phrase on this block came from Kara Thrash (Amy Wilson) of the Detroit Derby Girls. I saw it on her Facebook page one day quite a while back and asked her if I could use it sometime. Thanks, Kara!

KT Goodlove #79

"actually, you did"

Block #77 in the Kettle and Took
collaboration series KTGoodlove for
Art-o-mat®.

KT Goodlove #78

"and what do you think you're doing?"

collaboration series
