365/2013 - Day 222

more Tooklets 

This morning and early afternoon I worked on Tooklets.  I decided to use the older one with the pocket on the back as-is.  The other older one got tweaked with color, a new tail, and horns/ears.

I am happy with this guy.

I am going to leave him as-is.

Here is how this guy looked in his "before" stage.

I took off his stubby tail.

He got this new longer one.

I made some horns/ears and attached them behind the soft, colorful yarn I usually use on the bottom edge of Tookies.

Ta-daaaaaa!

I like his new tail.

I put two colors of embroidery floss together and made a row of x's across his tummy.

The rest of the afternoon and early evening were spent with my close, personal friend -- Benadryl.  

After some recovery time it was on to trimming Tookies labels.  I am going to try to assemble the remaining finger puppets and their packaging late tonight while I am doing laundry.  I have to be up anyway.

I have to hand trim this type of label if I want the border to stay intact.  I just can't seem to do close and even cutting with the paper cutter.

365/2013 - Day 218

Wednesday Morning at Joan's

What a lovely way to start the day -- with Joan and Leann for another Wednesday Morning at Joan's.

Joan collects heart shaped rocks and she found me this cat/heart shaped rock.  She found a skull/heart shaped rock for Leann last week.

Joan worked on a collage.

Leann worked on carving.

I packaged Tookies.

Yep...still not done yet.

And this evening I worked on the box labels for this set of Tookies.  It would be nice to know what I was doing, but I really have no interest whatsoever in learning computer skills.  It took me five tries, but I am happy with the last one.  I only wish they looked as saturated and bright in person as they do on the computer.

365/2013 - Day 216

just when I think I have it all...

...there is another spot that needs to be "erased" on this background for a new Tookies label.  There is probably a more efficient and easier way to do this, but this is the only way I know how.

THANK YOU so very much, Terri -- for coming over tonight after work and figuring out why my photo program quit...and FIXING the problem!!!

It is nearly impossible to see in this photo, but the upper left quarter of the screen still needed to be erased with white in my photo program's editing thing.

It will be another day easily before I can finish this label, but I have a big head start on it now.

update -- at 12:14 a.m.

Here is what I was able to get done tonight after Terri left -- man...it was not quite all the way dark outside...not sure what time it was.
