That quote comes from a comment on a friend's photo on Facebook. I liked the phrase so much that I asked the person who made the comment if I could use it in a collage.
Grumpy has always been an amusing word to me.
This is block #70 in the Kettle + Took collaboration series "KT Goodlove" for Art-o-mat®.
Block number 6 of 6 in the "Red Dwarf" lyric set. It is also block #69 in the Kettle + Took collaboration series "KT Goodlove" for Art-o-mat®.
As I mentioned earlier on, the collages have nothing to do with "Red Dwarf" except for the phrase from the lyrics...and the blocks have no relation to each other. Look back in the older posts to see the rest of the set.
(once again, it is another one of those "my scanner can't seem to show the actual color" days...this is a pumpkiny orange background.)
it's cold outside there's no kind of atmosphere I'm all alone more or less let me fly far away from here fun fun fun in the sun sun sun
If you know me, you know that means I was making stuff.
A while back I rented the "Red Dwarf" series from Netflix. I liked it okay, but I loved the theme song. I found a listenable version of the song on iTunes and it's in my head most every day.
SO, this being an aforementioned dark and rainy morning, I had an idea. I made a set of six KT Goodlove blocks that feature the words to the first part of the song. The blocks have no relation to each other besides the lyrics, and I think they stand alone pretty well. No matter, I like 'em! I will post them separately.
I suppose that sort of fits this situation, doesn't it? No excuses, no explanations, no regrets...just pick up where I left off. I will fill in missing days when I make "catch up" pieces. This is block #62 in the Kettle + Took collaboration series "KT Goodlove" for Art-o-mat®.
The last post I made was for Day 230. It is now Day 262. I can't decide how to pick this back up. It makes sense to restart with the actual day of the year that it is, and then -- when I do "catch up" pieces -- I could label them starting with Day 231.
I think that seems like the best idea...for now at least.
