2015 | Day 12

Day Twelve

Tonight Leann and I went to see Jan be a part of a panel presentation at the Ann Arbor Fiberarts Guild (AAFG) in Ann Arbor.

Here is how the program was listed at the AAFG website and Facebook page:
“Mojo, Muse and Matters”, Fiber Journeys by Guild Members and Professional Storyteller, Barb Schutzgruber

What happens when Mojo leaves? Where does one find their muse? What matters in my work? These and other questions will be addressed by several Guild members as they share their fiber journeys. Barb Schutzgruber will open and close the panel with two stories of journeys.

AAFG members Jill Ault, Marion Marzolf, Jenny Schu and Jan Waller share their fiber art stories, goals, inspirations and work routines in a panel discussion moderated by AAFG member Terrie Voigt.

It was a lovely presentation with each woman telling about herself with a few slides of her artwork.  Then they were led in a panel discussion and fielded a few questions from AAFG members, followed by Q+A with audience members near samples of their artwork.

There were roughly fifty-five people in attendance and the program flowed well.  I think that each woman could easily have had a solo talk/slide show/Q+A all their own...each one was so inspiring and really interesting.  Visit the links to find out more about each of these incredible artists!

The lighting/distance was a little difficult for my point+shoot camera, but here is Jan during her talk.
