I decided today that yes, the bowling pin cat-creature should be finished as is...just the black paper (with inclusions) and a sealer. Today I added a few extra torn bits of paper and I re-coated him really well with matte medium to make sure all of the paper edges and little twigs, leaves, etc. were all secure. I am sure that a few may stick up in the end, but at least they will be well secured. I intend to put a harder finish on him, as well.
I dunno...I sort of think he is a bit elegant looking...about as elegant as a plaster cloth covered bowling pin cat-creature covered in decorative paper could turn out.
