Two different notices today.
Oh well...
Chime Cat and R. Rebel did not make it into the 84th Regional Exhibition at the Muskegon Museum of Art.
On the other hand, now Sue and I get to go back and pick up my pieces and see the show and the permanent exhibits...another fun road trip with Sue!
And a giant squeeeeeeeeeee...
My newspaper usually comes in the mail just plain. I didn't really notice the giant envelope that came instead (I thought it was house papers for the refinancing we are doing) and I didn't open it when it arrived.
This morning, I figured oh heck...what's in this.
My newspaper was in the envelope and THIS was in the paper! How exciting!

Awesome! It's fun seeing your work in print. (and chime cat rocks, so they are missing out)
Just entering makes you a winner
Thank You for the comments Melanie and Janice.
WHAT a surprise to open the paper and find the photo of Baby Beast -- so cool.
And Janice, you should have seen the number of submissions when we dropped my stuff off on Day One (of 3 drop off days) -- they were saying there were more entries at that point than they had for the entire show last year -- I feel honored to have had my two pieces even looked at during the Thursday Salon...man! I really can't wait to go back and see the show!
How exciting! The newspaper is terrific! :) and boo- a bummer on the submissions- but good sportsmanship on your part! :)
