A few weeks ago there was a project floating around on Facebook called 2011 Pay It Forward.
In order to play, you would make a post saying that the first five people who commented on your post would receive something hand made from you during 2011. In return, the people who signed up/commented on your post had to promise to do the same -- post the message and promise to make five hand made items for the people who commented on their post. Cool.
Now that all of the items I made have been either:
1. delivered in person
2. mailed & received
3. mailed and about to be received
here are photos of what I made.
Suzanne got the pair of white and gray/white finger puppets. The white one has a little knit cap with a tassel on top.
Mary got an Animal People collage called "Beagles Love Blueberries" because Mary mentioned the movie Fantastic Mr. Fox frequently on her Facebook page. I was never interested in the movie until I saw all of the references in Mary's posts about it and I decided to watch it on cable. I absolutely loved it and now it is one of my default movies. You know, the ones that you watch over and over again whenever they are on television, no matter at what point you find it when you are flipping through the channels.
Renee got a pair of colorful finger puppets.
Danielle got a pair of finger puppets.
And Dean also got a pair of finger puppets.
This was a very fun and satisfying project. I might re-visit it later in the year.
