"we are stardust" "we are golden"
These are the last seven collages for my Animal People series for Art-o-mat® -- in this current batch of fifty, that is!
Now I just need to label all of the, wrap them in acetate ("cellophane"), package them up and ship them out to Artists in Cellophane.
YAY!

Ok, I see, I think. Do you make ALL of the art for the machines in Michigan? I've never been to an Art-o-mat but really would like to soon. My roomie has been meaning to check out Detroit Comics and I will have to check out the machine there for sure!
Really like the collages you made. Especially the one that says "I've lived on the west coast." LOL!
Take care!~
Noooooooo...I don't make ALL of the art in the Michigan Art-o-mat machines.
I do several series and collaborate on two others (one with Michigan artist Juana Moore, and one with Iowa artist Kettle).
Art-o-mat artists make a series of 50 pieces, send it in to "HQ"/Artists in Cellophane and they distribute it to machines across the country. Machine hosts can choose what art goes in their machines. Every machine host gets the art for their machine from Artists in Cellophane (the parent group for Art-o-mat).
So...when one of my machines gets low on art, or if I just want to switch art around, I place an order with AIC and they send me the art and I re-fill the columns in the machines.
In the case of me wanting my own art in one of my machines, I still have to order it from AIC. I cannot just put anything I want to into a machine...EVERYthing has to go through AIC first.
Ahhh, ok, I see. Thanks for the info! :)
