the holiday season arrives at the Northville Art House!
Ruth and I went to the Northville Art House today to see all of the incredible offerings for this year's holiday shopping extravaganza in three parts -- and it is really, really cool!
First, in the upper gallery the Northville Art House is proud to present "Small Works All-Media Juried Art Exhibit". Perfect for the holiday gift-giving season (or for adding to your own collection), all artworks are limited to 12" x 12". This is a "cash-and-carry" show, so works are sold right off the walls during the exhibit.
Next, in the lower gallery the Northville Camera Club presents their exhibit "Celebrate", and many of these works are also for sale. Come and see the wide range of subjects that the photographers have captured to interpret what they celebrate.
Then, come back up to the main floor level and shop in the Art House Store for beautiful handmade holiday gifts. This is also where you purchase raffle tickets for a chance at a dazzling array of exciting and ever-popular gift baskets which are filled to the brim and include valuable items from Northville merchants.
Buy local and buy art -- be a local arts supporter!
Splendid wreaths are available in several sizes.
The ever-popular gift baskets are back, too.
NEW is the all-media juried exhibit of Small Works -- affordable art sold right off the wall cash-and-carry style.
Several pieces have been sold already -- better get here early for best selection!
Joan is back from vacation!
Another gorgeous wreath.
Okay, one more!
Here is an example of one of the gift baskets you can purchase raffle tickets for.
Each basket has a title and a listing of what is contained inside.
You go around the gallery, choose the baskets you'd like to try for and deposit your raffle tickets in the bag next to that basket. Winners will be drawn in December.
This is one of the Art House's most popular fundraisers.
Tickets are one for $1 or eleven for $10. Keep coming back for more!
Remember during the Arts & Acts Festival in June when artist William Hessian returned with the 2nd Annual Northville Miniature Art Hunt? He hid 10 tiny works of art -- Northville mustangs -- in downtown businesses for eager art hunters to search for. Afterwards, William generously donated the tiny artworks to the Art House.
HERE is your opportunity to acquire these tiny artworks made exclusively for Northville!
And look -- a "portrait" of the Northville Art House decked out in the colorful and exuberant yarn bombing!
more art from the show...
Don't miss the fabulous new items in the Art House Store!
And if all of that wasn't enough...don't forget about the Art-o-mat machine!
Need: stocking stuffers, secret Santa exchanges, teacher gifts, a little "something" for the people you want to remember during the holiday season?
Art-o-mat machines are retired/refurbished vintage cigarette machines that now dispense $5 "packs" of original handmade art instead of cigarettes.
Read all about it and see examples of what is in the machine by checking out the white binder that can be found on top of the machine. A portion of each sale from this machine benefits the Art House.
WOW -- buy local -- have FUN -- support the Northville Art House -- all at the same time!
